♥ Jacky Cheung Concert!!!

we are going to JACKY CHEUNG'S CONCERT TOMORROW!!
i weren't going in the 1st place. because i thought school holiday is this week. only realize i am wrong early last month. so i called Galaxy up and add another ticket to the previous booking. but the blurr sotong charged us double! so in total, we paid 5 tickets!! only 3 of us going, hub & his buddy, and now me.
so Galaxy say will refund us tomorrow when we get our tickets at the counter. Pray it will be a smooth refund!

♥ Fifteen-Minute Reading Activities

Make 15 minutes go a long way. Try these quick
reading activities with your younger kids.
1. License to read. On car trips, make it a game to point out and read license plates, billboards, and interesting road signs.
2. Better than TV. Swap evening TV for a good action story or tale of adventure.
3. Look and listen. Too tired to read aloud? Listen to a book on tape and turn the book's pages with your children. You'll still be reading with them!
4. Labels, labels, labels. Label things in your children's room as they learn to name them. Have fun while they learn that written words are connected to everyday things.
5. Pack a snack, pack a book. Going someplace where there might be a long wait? Bring along a snack and a bag of favorite books.
6. Recipe for reading. The next time you cook with your children, read the recipe with them. Step-by-step instructions, ingredients, and measurements are all part of words in print!
7. Shop and read. Notice and read signs and labels in the supermarket. Back home, putting away groceries is another great time for reading labels.
8. Your long-distance lap. Away on a business trip? Take a few books with you, call home, and have your child curl up by the phone for a good night story.
9. A reading pocket. Slip fun things to read into your pocket to bring home: a comic strip from the paper, a greeting card, or even a fortune cookie from lunch. Create a special, shared moment your child can look forward to every day.
10. A little longer? When your child asks to stay up a little longer, say yes and make it a 15-minute family reading opportunity.

♥ my boys are fighting for toys!

hengheng had a purple bullet-train look-alike car. and yesternite, he is playing with it. at the same time, he want to lay out his alphabet soft mat.
chenchen crawled over and took the car when heng is not looking. when he realise didi is playing with his car. he got upset and went to snatch it away. of cause he can't get it the 1st time. so hengheng went to take the big purple container-truck and give didi. didi still refuse to give up the car, & hengheng snatch it away.
chenchen cry loudly. (what else!) look at me in the form of complaining. i carried him elsewhere to distract him. he cool down a while and willing to play wif the truck. but the eyes still following the car.
since its time for bed, i ask them to pack the toys & we went to bed.
today, didi still remember he wants to play with the purple car!! because he went to find the car, and zoom it around the living room!!

thursday, met LingTze n Terence for brunch. they r the few i still in contact fr NAFA. 11am, lucky the boys woke up in time.
went to buy fried prawn mee, cos yest it was long Q when dad n me were there. aft tt i went to buy a breakfast set for the boys. bun chenchen can eat, 1/2 boiled eggs for hengheng. but hengheng pooed aft 3 mouth of my mee, i was upset wif him. so i let him b until i filled up my tummy.
the mee turned cold as i went to buy the b/f set. it wasn't very nice liao, nex tym mus take it hot, n only buy when its shorter Q. hehehe
lucky i brought extra pants for heng, he will b 3yrs old in 2wks' tym, y still dun wan to tell me he wanna go poo???!!!
friday, din go out bcos hub comin back. initially wanna go Toa Payoh SAFRA Kidz' Adventure. but both boys notti, n chenchen is cryin for his nap. so stayed home. i was so mess up by his crying, i turn 10 min for 1/2 piece of pizza in the toaster oven. no nid to say, it was burnt, inside out! lucky there's another full piece or else i hv to cook instant mee.
evenin when mum back home, she showed me the stain on the wall!! wahh!! she told me this oven can only take 7min max, old liao lah
saturday, went Darryl's bday party, held in Peggy's house. the usual gang will b there. Audrey is kind enough to fetch me there cos i hv 2 boys n lots of barang barang. hehehe
all the hubbies only send their wifes to Peggy's house. its still a woman's day out. LOL. the boys now can play by themselves le, n playin wif each other! all of them r in sch tt's y can mix liao.
chenchen even hv Dyllis to chat wif. haha, din pester me for food, so me n Elicia can eat in peace, for a while b4 Dyllis make noise. Elicia ordered so much food! KFC, Pizza Hut n 2 Golden Buns. we only manage to finish part of KFC n 1 Golden Bun. but we drank the whole mug of Ice Lemon Tea. LOL.
hub n me went for midnite show, Flash Point. 1 1/2hr, fight fr start til end. but i din fall aslp. :p
sunday, mornin went to Red Star for dim sum. den 2pm coach home.

♥ Update for last week in SGP

monday, went to NTUC wif mum to fill up the fridge, esp for didi cos he is eatin porridge n soft rice! she bought a fish fillet for him, n lots of other stuff. i hv an appointmetn for facial at 3pm, but we only leave the hoz at 2.30! i knew i will b late, but i nvr knew i m so late! 3.30 den only she is done wif her shopping, so i calle dad to com pick her up, cos she will b gg home wif 2 kids n few bags of stuff. but mum say she can handle. n i rush off.
lucky the gal went to buy her lunch (cos she c i m late :p) she had lost her voice, but still try to make small tok wif me. esp she is curious abt my family background cos i look like a Malay. hahaha, still look like a malay since Sec sch tym. still can rem the canteen auntie told Karen, ur malay frd very pretty. :P~
tuesday, went down to market wif parents, cos i nid to drop those singapore sweep coupons for FIL's frd, he came home wif 4 books!! we fill up til our hands cramp! n i m standin at the box there, tearin them into pieces n drop in. i only put in 2 books cos there's 2 draw. n i spent abt 20mins there... so paisey!!
wednesday, went to AMK Hub again, cos i wanna buy a raincoat for hengheng. went to Mums & Babes, dun hv. end up hengheng wan me to buy a Thomas & Train for him. so i ask him, if u can tell me wat this is, i will buy. so he really stand there n crack his little brain!! so cute, aft 2-3min, he say 'chew chew' wif hand pullin whistle action. i say ya, wat is 'chew chew'? n he think somemore. finally he say 'TRAIN!' so i replied, correct, so i hv to buy for u liao lor! n took him over to the counter n giv him a $5 note to pay. i fish out my chillings n i put them on the counter too, he push all the money to the cashier, n say thank you.
i went to nex door of Baby Fox, oso dun sell raincoats, went opp to Cerini (i dun hv high hopes there cos they sell mainly shoes), no sell raincoat. :( so finally went down to NTUC, ask the salesgal oso dun sell!! dad call in time n he is at the food court, so we went up. blur me, the lift stop at B1 n i hurried got off, thinkin its 3rd flr. only when i walk past 2 stores, i realise i m at B1, n oso hengheng saying B1, B1.. :p aft we had our lunch (dad had a "fun" tym feedin both the boys wif Udon) we went down to NTUC so i can buy the soft sole shoes for didi. yest nite went to the playgrd, n didi standin on bare foot. so dirty! n his socks-shoe has 1 piece missing :S so hv to buy a new pair.

In a nutshell: Effective preschools go beyond traditional yearly or half-yearly parent-teacher conferences so that parents are in touch with what’s happening in their children’s lives all the time.
Other signs that matter
• Curriculum: Does the curriculum inspire creativity and curiosity? Does it recognise that children are active learners who soak up knowledge like a sponge?
• Enrichment: Does the school provide something extra and/ or different? In-school or third-party programmes like speech and drama, music or dance lessons perhaps?
• Field trips: Does the school choose stimulating, educational and/ or fitness-oriented venues?
• Play time: Is there lots of it? Or not enough? Do teachers gossip at the playground? Or do they actively join in?
• Mealtimes: What’s for tea? High-fat cookies and cakes? Are there liberal servings of fruit?
• Discipline: Is your child picking up an ugly vocabulary? How are disruptive kids dealt with?
• Management: How supportive are they towards parental concerns and suggestions or staff welfare?
• Self-esteem: Does your child look forward to going to school everyday? Or is it a battle to get him ready every morning? Even if you love the school, consider looking elsewhere if your child doesn’t.

♥ hengheng had a heavy fall TWICE

1. ah gong ask him to carry didi, who is sittin on the swing. hengheng not enough strength, so unbalanced n fall down, back of the head hit the massage stones. this happen arnd monday, but at tt time i din felt a lump, oso it is painful so heng dun let me touch his head. yest, i felt a small lump n i saw it is a bruise. so i ask MIL to boil an egg so i can rub on it.
2. yest, he wanna com into the hos, but was running. there's a step at the front door, n he miss the step, unbalance n fell face down. upper lip n cheek r injured, upper lip is bleeding n cheek has a big blue-black. when the egg is boiled, i rub both the bruises.
